Just come out the gym and someone has given my passenger wing mirror a knock.
Wing mirror itself is unscathed, as it just folded in, However the mirror is now cracked!!!
I have a spare passenger wing mirror with a good mirror on it, but how hard are they to remove without smashing the mirror??

Cheers
Ollie

We talking about the actual mirror (the reflective bit).
From memory they fit onto a round base in the middle of the housing, which then moves.
Not sure how you would remove a mirror from there without cracking or smashing it

i thought maybe if you remove the back there might be some kind of clips on the mirror...
i've tried removing the back off mine but couldnt though :S

i suppose if it is already cracked you could break it off lol

Yeah they just pop off but u will have to be careful...try using a large flat screwdriver or similar with abit off cloth to protect the edge of the casing and prise it equally around the edge!

Do it to the already broken 1 first so you know exactly how it works when you come to the other lol :D

Thats how i done it if i remember correctly but was a while ago!

Dan!

You can use some kind of lever to pop open the clips behind the glass, alternatively, you can just get replacement mirrors to stick over the broken glass like I did.. :S
Though the halfrauds ones are about 1mm too big.

Andy I am def interested in those, I had been toying with the idea of contrasting mirrors and roof and I think you've made my decision, depending on price.

If you do pop back down there let me know

Thanks
