Removing inner door skin

Hello,
I've got an 03 plate mk4 tdi 130. My passenger side electric window cable has snapped so the window no longer works as the cable was attached to the window motor. just wondering if anyone knows how to get the metal inner door skin off. Got the plastic door card out but when came to the inner bit i took all wires and attachments off it and the bolts holding it on but still can't get it off as it seems to be attached where the door catch(the bit that pops up when you unlock your car) goes through it.

Do i have to remove the door lock aswell or what i'm confused?
Any help would be good cheers!

There is more than one thread about this if you search for it mate, I think you will find though that its not the cable that has snapped, but the little plastic clips that hold the window onto the regulator, its a common fault and unfortunately means you'll need a whole new regulator as the clips dont come seperately :(

Well had a look at it earlier and i've seen that the actual cable has snapped as it had some how managed to get stuck in the winding mechanism and as the cable had rusted it snapped the other morning.

But i will have a look for the threads later on
cheers

oh, well fair enough, I just said the plastic clips as it is a fairly regular fault, mine went....

My dealer charged about £120 for a new regulator fitted, and it saved a whole load of effort and time messing around with the door locks and stuff
