Hi, when you remove it yes you are left with a gaping hole. you can buy a whole new glove box, but they are very expensive and I think there was some supply problems. The best way is to get an insert from Seat to fit in the hole. I think mine was about 20 quid, fits perfectly. They might try and sell you the strip around it, you don't need it, it's the same as the one that you will remove from around the cd changer.

Thanks. So is that just a blanking plate that will cover the hole? I suppose its better than nothing.

As its an Audi A3 dash is it possible to put a Audi A3 glovebox in?

You are left with a big hole, but you can buy a glove box lining, details below:

1M08686591UQ - Glovebox Lining £9.38

It just goes in place of where the changer was, remember to keep the surround that fits over the screws too, I didn't..... DOH !!!!!

I have one in mine.

EDIT: Just seen your post about it being an A3 dash, not sure if this lining will fit, its cheap enough to try though.

Here's one.... (as you can see, keep the surround for the screws, I have one on order).
