Removing bootlit trim

Hi folks,

I have a friend who has to gain access to the inners of the bootlid, how do we remove the cover to gain access?

He has removed the screws inside the grab handle and even although it seems a little slacker some parts still seem firmly fixed.

Struggling to find help with this, can anyone help us out?

just the clips are very tight indeed you need to yank hard or lever with a screwdriver.

That won't break anything will it?

can break a couple of the bits of plastic which holds the clips to the trip so mind that.

There is the chance you could break the panel removing it. I took mine off without an issue but the dealer broke one fixing my boot lock.

If you remove the foglight access covers you can see two of the clips through the holes which makes it a bit easier.

So how do we go about removing it without breaking the clips?

i found to get mine off, i pulled it away slighty, till i could see the metal clips and one by one with a long reach slotted screwdriver i popped them out, theres like 9 clips i think, loads for just abit of plastic really...

Just have to be careful with it and take your time.... pull too hard and plastic rips from the boot lid cover.. pull to little and your get no where!
