I have a amp that i want to remove for a week. To remove it i'll remove the fuse from the wiring kit before disconnnecting the 12v power wire in the amp but would it be completely safe to leave the wire like this for a week - just the fuse between the wire from the battery and the one from the amp disconnected?

or should i completely remove the wire from the battery too?

thanks in advance

Fuse out there's no power getting through so should be fine, just make sure you tape up the 12v switch feed so that it can't touch anything. I would also tape up the end of the RCA so it can't touch anything either.

Thanks mate, just wanted to ensure its safe to do so.Unbolting it from the battery is not hard but just thought that doing so resets everything, including all the settings on your HU - which I didn't want to do.

Will tape over RCAs and switched 12v too.
