Hi Guys,

I want to swap my front speakers for some Infinity ones from my old car. Any ideas on how to get into them without damaging the speaker cover?

thanks,

You shouldnt need to touch the speaker cover mate... You take the whole door card off to access the speaker. There is a guide as a sticky thread in the Mk4 Section here:
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48546

Note: You will need to drill out the rivets for the current speakers to remove them.

You will also need a spacer bracket to move the speakers a few MM (at least 12mm) away from the door frame. This is because the speaker magnet will hit your window when it goes down. Most people do this by jigsawing a circle out of 12-18mm MDF (you may need to double up if youve got big speakers). Make sure you check the spacing with your windows down so you can be sure they wont interfere.

Hope this helps
