Remote Key/Central Locking

I've been searching on here most of the day trying to resolve this issue but I cant find anything that works, Please help!!

Ok heres the problem... The remote key for my car works fine i press the unlock button once and the drivers door unlocks fine, press it second time I hear the central locking gear go but none of the other doors or boot unlock.

But they all unlock and lock when I press the switches on the drivers door & the anti hijack works fine the car also locks fully from the remote key.

I have tried the programming procedure that I found here earlier posted by FL@PER (Hope thats rite ;) ) and variations of it and still NADA!! :wtf:

Also wing mirrors  they both operate together (i dont have elec folding) :help:PlEaSe

Not too sure on the first issue, but the mirrors are supposed to operate together when the switch is set to one side - can't remember if it's driver's or passenger's. Basically the idea is that you set the side that operates both, then set the side that operates only one. AFter this, if you need to adjust you use the side that controls both mirrors, both mirrors will track meaning that hopefully you only need to adjust once - it's in the manual.

Well when I bought the car over a year ago they both worked independent of each other, I drive it at weekends and my misses uses it through the week so every time I get in its about a 10min ordeal setting mirrors seats.

All I have on the switch is L - N - R.

It isn't clear from your post, but has the car always behaved like this?

I can't find too much about this, but it looks as though it's been set that way, as an additional anti-theft/carjacking protection. It may be changable by VAG-com.

No it started doing this a while ago, it went into a body shop after a tit in a transit van hit the drivers door... The body shop did an excellent job but there was a problem with the locking system when i was due to get the car back, and an "Auto electrician" was called by the garage who changed something to do with electronic side of the locking.

Now I tried something the other day... When we 1st got the car if we held the unlock button on the key the windows dropped.... They dont do that either, but if I use the key in the lock and hold it in the unlock position the windows drop...
I get the feeling its something to do with the programing between the car and key.

This VAG-COM thing, do you connect it to the car in the center under the ash tray.. little black pop off plate?

I ask cos when we picked the car up that black plate was off and there was (i think) a green socket/plug behind it.

Dropping the window from the remote in not a standard thing for a LEON, but can be added by either an Autowindow module of some kind, or the existing software can be flashed with a device such as a KVW100. It sounds like you had one of these solutions but it was removed, over writen or replaced when you car was fixed.

Yes.

I think you need somebody with VAG-com to help you. Post in the VAG-com section here, I'm sure there will be someone in the Peterborough area, there always seem to be lots of SEAT's when I'm there.

jjay, this happened on my LCR about 6 weeks ago, car was at garage for few days havin repair, when I got it back, drivers door opens on remote, 2nd press hear all other doors but won't open, still locked. Very weird.
Was getting frustrated and about to go back to garage when it just resolved itself. Sorry can't help further.
I'm guessing but maybe a sequence of presses on the fob sorts it???
Sorry can't help further. But its not a serious fault, the locks are not buggered etc, and its clearly not an expensive dealer fix.

TBH my missus took the car out and when she got back it was all ok. MAybe its a woamns touch LOL

Thanks both of you, I will en quire about the VAG-COM but to be honest I shouldn't mind getting VAG myself.... is it expensive???

filbro:
Is your misses available this week some time to take my car for a drive and work her magic? As this has been going on nearly a year now and I originally thought that it would sort itself out, my misses drives the car through the week and has done for the past year and she clearly has not got the same powers as you're misses

Locking problem

I have the same problem. One press unlocks driver door, two presses doesn't unlock all the rest. Just had it in the garage - I know they disconnected the battery (to replace a headlight cluster) as I had to rekey the radio. Since then, locking problem.

I know it isn't a major prob, but being able to double tap the button to open the boot was really useful.

There must be a really simple reason/solution to this?

Any ideas?

Hi Guys,
I have, i think, a similar problem, car unlocks ok, but convenience module clicks, when its clicking the boot solenoid clicks too and i can operate the anti hijack mechanism (ie lock all doors from the button) when the clicking stops i cant lock the doors from the inside, also my auto lock doesnt work at all (should lock em all when u drive over 10mph or something?)
Have had the solenoid changed but no better.
When I try and lock the car from the outside with the key fob, nothing, but the alarm is activated, if i continually press lock then unlock after a while the car will lock all doors from the fob!
Any ideas???

Ive still got the problem Skullarms. the cars been to a local VW dealer and they have drawn a blank so far other than he manage to get the soft key on the drivers door to lock all doors but the drivers.

He thinks it the drivers door window motor trouble is they are 180 notes from the stealers
