Remote Central Locking Problem (Cupra R)

Hi,

I have had my Seat Leon Cupra R for 4 weeks, with in the first 2 weeks the central locking started playing up, i put new batteries in the fob, but that didnt help, the light will flash but will not unlock. I have tried Seat Main dealer they are saying possibly actuator in the door or an ECU problem. But would need to go on the computer to find out defo what was wrong.

Any body got an suggestions before i pay to have it looked at?

P.S it has just come out of warranty, which is just typical!!

I had something similar - they swapped the plipper bit in the key fob

Car has been into Seat dealership today, put on the machine and found out that the central control box module needs replacing, anyone ever had to replace one before?

They have ordered two because they have changed the control boxes over when my car was built so not sure which it is.

3 - 4 hours also to fit this!!
