Can I sue.....nowhere in the manual does it say that you should not put remote key fobs through the washing machine........  Wife says its my fault for wearing clothes and getting them dirty - why else does one get married (so far for 33 years!).

Anyway - remote, now dry, does not appear to do much in the way of being remote. I've undone the little screw under the SEAT badge - where do I force or which way do I pull what to get inside and see what damage has happened and drop a new battery in at least.

Any one got pics, procedures or ideas other than a trip to the stealership??

Mine did start coming apart once when I dropped and I clicked it back together. Sounds like you need to open it up, dry it out, put a new battery in it and see if it works. You might be forced to take it to a dealer.

I pass on where to stick a screw driver in it, but perhaps a good place to start is where the blade folds into, looks like you could press something into there. There was a thread once with pictures of a guy that had connected up the mirrors to fold in as I recall taking apart a fod.... if you can find it. Might tell you there. Have you looked in the manual.

Basically as I recall it pulls apart in a sliding action, that's how it started coming apart.
