found these in my garage that nobody wanted to buy so I thought I would put them on my LCR...as Im about to go to Italian Lakes Via Switzerland and back through Monaco and France so thought it might be wise to have some decent brakes-also upgraded from 1045 Galfers to 1055s and Although only done a few miles they feel totally different much like ...wow....bit of an overkill but look good though.

Very expensive but because nobody was willing to pay the list price less SCN discount I had to have them -shame really but there you go -
Originally they were £650.+ but was offerered them for £350. if I bought 10 sets or more -daylight robbery- me thinks.

yeah thats about right - but you had a coule of sets of 1055's if i remember - how are they doing? did they perform ok? cause I had a hairy moment ( excuse the pun) with the 1045s braking from .....mph because some tw** in a Vectra pulled out infront of me and I had some bad fade ...really bad so I decided to see what I had left in my garage and found these and some 1055s -could have put the 1065s on but, I think too aggressive for road use and pretty useless from cold so I hear.
any way i shall see how they go when fully bedded in

Yep, had two sets of 1055's (still on the first set), They took a bit more bedding in then other pads I've had and they seem to score the disc more than others but I have no complaints about how well they stop the car, over all I'm very pleased with them.

The discs look good!

I love my 1055s. They're wearing well too - I must have done 14k miles on them so far. Where do I get replacements once they're gone?

http://www.galfer.co.uk

They are not listed on their web site but if you give them a call or e-mail them they should be able to sort you out.

Looking good mate. I had the 1045's off you and have been pleased with them. They seem to be about the same as the standard brembo pads and all round including fitting cost me just over £100 - well pleased with that compared to dealer prices.

I notice the disk grove is pointing in a anit clockwise rotation on the driverside picture.

Is this correct as i have a simular set up and i have the groves pointing in clockwise direction ?

Cheers
