Hi
I have a Seat Leon FR 1.4 ecoTSI Technology DSG. I was planning on getting a stage 1 remap - it currently has 150BHP & 250Nm of torque. I have read in a couple of places that anything above 250Nm is likely to cause gearbox problems. Can anyone advise? I am keen to get it to stage 1 but don’t want to cause myself any problems?
Kind Regards

Seriously?

DQ200 dry clutch DSG is known to be torque limited in terms of reliability. Word is that it might not like much more than 250Nm

I had a moment of madness and remapped my car with the same engine and gearbox as yours, 2000 miles later and I needed and new clutch and flywheel! 😅

The car was on 55k when I got it done, so it's done a few miles on the original clutch, the remap probably pushed it over the edge and brought it's demise forward.

I knew it was probably a bad idea, but just got carried away and did it, it was fun while it lasted, but something I regret doing and I've got it booked in for a few weeks time to have the map removed and put back to standard.

That's just my own experience though, I guess if you can find a map that keeps the torque down then it might work I guess, but I'm done with remaps on this particular engine/gearbox combo!
