Hey guys, im thinking of getting my 02 130 sport Ibiza remapped, just wondering if buying a PD130/150 (ASZ or ARL) clutch, flywheel and pressure plate, which has only done 38,000 miles would be worth while?!! and may help to stop in preventing clutch slipping?? any opinions most welcome cheers

i have my FR remapped, running 170bhp 290lbft and have no clutch issues, the clutchs are rated to 300lbft so keep it under that and drive it properly and you should have no problems

Torque is what kills clutches.

The original clutch is good up to ~295lbft like said.

ASZ engine uses smaller BorgWarner turbo compared to BPX engine Garret charger, so you will be limited around 180bhp & ~300lbft anyway.

same as ST...got a remap on my FR..and have had no problems with clutch slip as of yet...just drive it carefull and dont boot it in the wrong gear and you should have no problems...some people have remaps with torque well above 300, but i would not recommend this!

No point in having an aggressive remap if you can use it properly ;)

Drove my old Ibiza quite hard when it was warm, didn't worry about clutch as it can be changed, only £600 ish job... I say only rather sheepishly now...
