Remap before or after exhaust?

Hey folks.

Seriously considering going to the Scotland meet and getting my 2002 mk4 PD130 sport remapped by revo with the "on the day deal." Only thing that bothers me is I would really like a miltek exhaust and there's no way I'll be able to fund both before the show. If I got the car remapped then bought an exhaust a couple of months after would it still benefit from an exhaust or would it make it run bad and if I got the exhaust before the remap would I benefit a lot more from the remap like would the remap be slightly different to suit an aftermarkset exhaust and would it affect the price? So many questions in one thread I know. I guess I'd just like to know will there be a difference wether I fit an exhaust before or after the remap and what would that difference be?

Thanks folks

From my limited knowledge I would say it would be best to get the exhaust first as when it is remapped it will take in to account the aftermarket mod and get the best from it. However it shouldn't run bad if its fitted after. People correct me if i'm wrong please.
