As part of the cost-cutting measures, from 2010 mid-race refuelling will be banned - the first time since 1994

As part of the measure, there is the potential to decrease the race length or duration as well.

Tyre warmers and mechanical purging of tyres will also be banned, and teams will move to a standard radio and telemetry system

is this to help reduce cost of oil ;)

imagine how much fuel all the f1 teams use in a season. Then there's BTCC, Rally, BSB and other motor sports.

Give it a decade or so and they'll start banning it or making more restrictions due to fuel levels etc

they should be able to. really test their skill........

drivers back in 60s or whenever didn't have ABS, TCS, Launch Control etc. A lot of it today has some computer help. However, didn't they stop some stuff at the start of last season?

Making it harder for them, but they are supposed to be the best. Make em work for their money lol

swap to diesel, then Audi and Pug can join and kick the crap out of Ferrari :D

It's only taken two seasons for the french to create a hybrid racer that should be on the grid next year.

stupid idea tbh, cars will be alot slower at the start of the race due to excess weight, plus i can see alot of cars running out of feul mid race if the team dont do their calcualtion right, shud make better tv but not as high paced....

They don't have any of this in GP2 where he won, so why wouldn't he be happy?

And in the olden days they used to have races without fuelling. It taught drivers to conserve fuel and tyres, and made for very exciting racing towards the chequered flag. Please tell me why 3 or 4 sprints on fresh tyres is exciting. Especially when the only passing is in the pits.

All the cars will be slower and if they run out mid race I think the race engineers need sacking.

IIRC one of the teams this year reakoned their fuel tanks were almost big enough to have enough fuel for the whole race (think it may have been ferrari)
