Refitting OE Exhaust

Has anyone refitted their LC OE exhaust system after removing it to have a performance one?

Its been cut to get it off the car so will need a sleave to re-fit.

I believe (but i'm not sure) that when SEAT replace the backbox or whatever, that they obviously have to cut the exhaust but that the new part comes with an enlarged end to slide over the OE part at the join.

Anyone know what i.d. sleave i'll require to rejoin the two and also where i could get one?

IIRC the i.d. of the OE exhaust is 2.25" so i guess the sleave will be around 2.5" to actually cover the pipe?

I had my OE exhauct refitted to my Leon when I sold. You need a sleeve, which I believe can be bought through SEAT. The sleeve I used was from a Skoda Octavia.

It is quite a fiddle getting the OE one back on. Really depends how carefully it was removed. Mine was slightly bent. As a result, it did hang lower than it should but it worked.

yup, the car and all it's mods will be up for sale in the next couple of weeks.

That'll include the full Milltek, LCR Bodykit, DV, BMC CDA, Boost Gauge, Knob, Leather Handabrake etc etc etc.

It'll all be going on eBay.

Oooohhh good choice, love the 4-motions. Make sure you get it remapped and the Miltek exhaust, then you are in R32 territory and with the same sound

Good choice

the exhaust will fit any golf mkIV 1.8T.

not the 4motion though - no turbo and a pesky 4wd system in the way ;)
