Hi

I am looking at a referrence sport but it doesn't have a trip computer for cruise.

Can these be added by either vag com or the dealer (how much if so) or are they just factory fit options?

Regards
Jonathan

Cruise control can be added as a retro-fit yes.

Why would it not have a trip computer??? I dont understand?

It should have either a small-ish display or if it has the bluetooth option, it will have the larger display.

Don't quite understand. I have a Ref Sport with the smaller screen and it has a trip computer on it. I got Cruise Control retro fitted the other week and it all works fine.

sorry, i am looking to buy the car and the dealer said it didn't have the trip computer with mpg, range etc so i was thinking, would i be able to get it added.

If it comes with this as standard then it isn't a problem but i would like to add cruise and bluetooth if this is possible.

Cheers

The Trip Computer is standard (have a look on the spec sheets on the Seat site) BT and CC are optional extras if you are ordering a new car (CC can be retro fitted as said above, BT is usually a factory order unless you are savvy like Dan and end up fitting it yourself)

Yes, Bluetooth kit is retro fittable, but you wont get the whole package unless you spend big bucks on a new instrument cluster with the larger MFD(which I did). But its usable without.

Cruise is also retro fittable.

The Car WILL have a trip computer, as thats what the trip and odometer is displayed on. Maybe if you dont have cruise it doesnt show mpg etc? but I highly doubt it.

The trip does show MPG. That is what mine is set to show at the moment but I can change what it displays by using the toggle buttons on the wiper stalk.
But if you get CC retro fitted, you will not get a display (green light on dash?) to say that the CC is on.

That only works if you have the instrument cluster with the larger MFD (ie; what comes with the bluetooth kit)
