Red paint does it fade?

Hi all, still looking for the right Ibiza and I might have found a very nice red one I just have a few reservations and just wondered if the red seats suffer the same fate as the onvi yellow seats or red vauxhalls? I have a very busy working life so I struggle to find time to polish and wax my cars as it is so only get to do it once a month or so! Any help would be great! Thanks!

As long as you look after the paintwork you should get no problems with red :)

this was mine after 134k miles and 8 years:

a solid colour is base coat and laquer mixed. thats why they 'fade', because come paint is exposed to UV.

I washed mine every 2-4 weeks and gave it a proper wash, polish, wax every 6-8 weeks.

I Honestly think its one of the most rewarding colours to own. its not hard to keep clean and shiney like i had it but it really does turn some heads. :)

It's been a while since I've seen a red car faded, my other halfs Almera is red and despite it being the cheapest paint you can get it is still red after 9 years. I think even Vauxhall have got their red paint reasonably robust now. It's a shame they didn't get it right on my 85 Nova, that was pink by the time it was binned!

my 9 year old Cupra R is still as red as red gets, that said washed weekly, and waxed once a month without fail..
