Red Light on water temp

scrape the pronges with a small screwdriver...it happened EVERY morning in mine...did that and it hasnt done it since! :lol:

Exactly the same thing with me, it happens on cold mornings generally i think because the coolant contracts in the system and the level drops a little.

Deposits on the sensor prongs make them less sensitive and detect the level as being too low.

Since I scraped my prongs its not happened once and the weather has been ALOT colder this last week or two than it was a few weeks ago when the problem started for me.

some may say lala land....
search for 3 beeps as that is the number of times the red light beeps before it flashes all the time

i had this, and after cleaning the prongs with a flat headed screwdriver and topping up with G12 coolant from a dealer (£6 for 1l) all is good and dandy - can''t remember exact thread i followed but advise worked a treat - no beeps yet :)

i had the same problem, but my coolant round tank thing in the engine bay was very low, topped it up and it stopped coming up
