Recommended engine oil for eHybrid

My VZ eHybrid 245 is going for an oil change in a few weeks.

The sticker in my engine bay says the reccomended oil is 0W-20, but the dealership says it will put 5W-30.

Can anyone else that has the eHybrid and did an oil change tell me what oil their dealership has used?

And also, could the engine possibly suffer any issues if 5W-30 is used rather than 0W-20?

In the UK that oil is probably fine, but I'd insist on the recommended oil. It's chosen because it's less viscous and will give better economy and suits the design.
There's no good reason to put a thicker oil in other than availability and cost

I agree.

But the thing is, in Cyprus we have about 40 degrees celsius in the summer and I have read (don’t know how valid this is, if anyone can confirm, please do) that low viscosity oils i.e. 0W-20 can’t provide good lubrication in such hot weather.
(And wondering if this could have anything to do with the dealer recommending 5W-30)

Oil when up to temp at ambient 40C won't be hotter than at ambient 20C
Oil will be going around the engine at around 90 to 110C maybe more so the oil grade is primarily for cold weather performance when the initial viscosity of the oil is high.
Engine cooling is done by the engine coolant, water etc and will have to work harder in higher ambient temps.

In Cyprus the 5w/30 will also be fine but Seat designed the engine with 0/30 in mind. So it is less thick when cold than a 5w/30.
And cold doesn't mean 0C even at 20, 40C the 5w will be thicker until the additives are fully utilised at 100C and the thickness of the oils are practically the same.
Synthetic oils are really good and last way longer than the multigrades of old, the base oil maintains its thickness for longer and the additives are better formulated.
