Recommend some products!

Hi all, its nice and sunny down in south east london so I want to wash my car.

I havent got any car washing products though so will have to shoot down to halfords or something!

What stuff will I need to get my car looking its best. I want to give my car a nice polish, and going by other threads people use 3 different types of polish on their cars.

Any help/hints and tips appreciated.

if you are both going to Halfords, then buy the Meguiars NXT next generation wax. If you want to use 'separate products' then buy the AG SRP and EGP which will give increased durability over the NXT
