Right, having now had my facelift Leon FR Estate for all of a week, it's quickly become apparent that I need to get a boot liner!

Had a look on the seat motor parts site, and can see there's a foam and rubber version - but with the pictures both being identical I can't tell what the difference is in terms of sturdiness etc The foam doesn't sound like it'd be durable?

Are the genuine ones worth the price? Or am I better off with an aftermarket one - have seen a few mentions of rezaw-plast and novline?

Just want something that's an accurate fit, that's hard-wearing and easy to clean that can take a muddy pram/buggy chucked in the back.

I had one of the genuine foam boot liners in my last VW Polo GTI and it was OK. It didn’t feel very substantial, but provided good service for the 4.5 years I owned the car. I dare say VW foam boot liners are manufactured from the same type of material that the Seat foam versions are.

I’ve got a Novline in my current Polo GTI+; early days, but being manufactured from a rubber type material it seems as if it will stand up to long term everyday use better than the OEM foam type would and it’s easy to clean. The Novline boot line has a much more effective non slip surface than the OEM version which seems to be pretty effective at stopping things sliding around. It’s a good fit too and has a decent raised lip around the edges to contain any spillages and dirt (the genuine VW liner also had a raised lip around the edges).

The biggest plus of the Novline liner for me was the price; it cost less than half the price of the VW foam type version. I bought mine from Driveden on eBay as it was cheaper at the time than buying it from Driveden’s own website.

Link to Driveden website - be aware that there are different versions for the boot floor in the lower or raised position.

Cheers, yeah to be honest the word 'foam' didn't exactly fill me with confidence :ROFLMAO:
Will see about ordering a novline one then, as they're significantly cheaper than the seat rubber one!
