Recaro seats airbag problems

Had some golf mk4 recaro seats fitted in the Leon, that was easy enogh. But the problem i got now is finding a autoelecrician that is willing to swap the VW airbag connectors for the SEAT ones!
Anyone done it?

Did it on my Octavia, it's a 2min job and the wiring is pretty obvious when you compare them.

Yeah i can see that just wondered did you swap the connectors or just chop them off and join the wires...

What do the Golf Recaros look like? Any different from the standard FR seats?

Hi Eddy,

I've just ordered a Golf Mk4 Interior from a place up in the lakes - should be here on tuesday. I've no problem with the physical fitting and am reasonable with a soldering iron - is it not possible to remove the pins from the VW plug and swap them into the Seat one? I don't suppose you know if the wires are all in the right sequence but just a different shaped plug ... i'm guessing the Leon and the Mk4 Golf share the exact same wiring harness but i could be wrong. Did you happen to find heated seat connectors floating around under yours when you removed the seats?

Nearly forgot, the place that's sending me these is leaving the VW plugs in the seats and chopping off from the car to leave me a couple of inches of wire so i can see what colour the originals were.
