Rearlock and S badge strip Guide

After searching and to no avail i thought i would post a guide on here for all of those who want to to a good job at painting their S badge on their boot

After removing the locking mechanism and removed the backing shell with three 8mm bolts

you then are left with the plastic mechanism first remove the small circlip with a screwdriver and put to one side,

then put a screwdriver under the metal part of the locking mechanism shown in the gold in this picture and prize upwards both parts should pop off,

once this is removed you will notice a small circlip gently remove or face the search i did as it shot of into the garage,

once this is removed then you can pull the top part out the back the item is as shown

then your left with two springs remove those open the s and push the lock up through,

once removed i set about removing the S badge

as you can see there is a small shaft that runs through tap one end with a drift and then follow through with a screwdriver this should pull out and the s badge can then be removed as shown below

I hope this helps anyone wishing to remove there lock and or paint their S badge like me
