I suspect that the brass pipe water pipe in the motor casing maybe either broken or breaking which will cause it to start leaking. It caused by the pipe corroding to the rest of the fixing so when the wiper moves the pipe starts to twist with it.
If it under warranty then id take it back to ypur dealer to get it checked as you could end up with water pouring out of the boot trim.

I've lost the link but a Golf owner somewhere (not off this site) did a web-guide of how to fix it, as it has the same motor & problems.

Bare in mind guys that washer pipes are now not covered under warranty. A dealer showed me last week the bulletin from SEAT to confirm that split hoses for the rear wash wipe are not covered on warranty as it is due to adverse weather, although on the same bulletin it advisers dealers to replace the standard hose connector with an uprated version, at customers cost. Very bad i think!!!!!!!!

I had my wiper motor replaced under warranty in January. If they refuse to do it then kick up a stink and they will eventually. :)

"afaik they put a clip on to the pipe now" ... I'm assuming that's just to stop the plastic pipe popping off? Rather like the joint under the bonnet goes as well.

Orangesprouts problem is a bit different. Only way to fix that, is to replace the entire wiper motor assembly, unless someone can find muddyboots do-it-yourself guide. And this I would have thought without a doubt is a warranty job (IE. Shiite/faulty design). On mine the entire thing had just corroded and broken away. (IE. nothing to do with frost damage).

They are going to try the washer jet first - apparently they can get damaged due to very low temps - the washer jets just pull out of spindle !

if not that they'll put a whole motor on.

"apparently they can get damaged due to very low temps ". Bloody hell... does this mean we are not supposed to take the car out if it's cold  I thought they tested cars these days in places like Finland to pick up on just these sorts of things!

O'well... at least it sounds like it's going to be a warranty job.

Good luck.
