rear wiper skoosher

so when trying out the wifes rear wiper and skoosher, on her 2004 Ibiza 1.4tdi the water just seems to trickle out and does not do the windows is this a common problem on these cars? or do I have a part missing etc? as the wiper area just seems to be open and the skoosher jet is just sitting pointing towards the wiper, was wondering if maybe there is a bit missing or if this is normal etc?#
anyone that has this and any advice would be helpful thanks

Could be a blockage?

They are common on popping at the joins so maybe worth checking for any leaks in the boot.

Have you tried adjusting the washer jet? it's more than likely a blockage as Badger said, and as Badger said they are prone to leaks at the joints, i had 2, one in the engine bay and one in the boot, and the final place which i didn't have is the boot lid

Just had a similar problem with my Ibiza. In fact the rear wash jet didn't work at all. I watched a good video on you tube from Fred in the shed about it. It is apparently a common problem with the Ibiza that the joins disconnect. In my case the tube wasn't connected at the pump or at the wiper arm or the engine bay or in the rear parcel recess!!!! Took Fred the sheds advice and glued them back on. Glad to say I now have a rear wash jet and wiper working.
