rear wiper arm

Polishing the car yesterday, noticed a chip in the paint, directly under the tip of the rear wiper. I'd been using it more recently, and as it completes its swing, it's bouncing off the bodywork. It's a standard pre facelift wiper, can the one off a facelift be put on instead? It doesn't have the plastic cover on it, that's what's caused the damage.

Or would I be better de-wipering it? Did that on my mk1 cos it was gubbed. Rather keep it functional though.

Any input appreciated.

Yes the facelift version can be put on, very simple to replace.

Hi mate just read this and I have dewipered my mk5 ibiza Don't know if it's any good to you but have my old wiper sat in the garage

Cheers mate, not sure if the Ibiza one would fit though, also gonna go the aero route, want to avoid the plastic bit.

Yeah it is a straight swap. I think I picked mine up for about £20ish all in. Can't remember was awhile ago.

Sorry, I have it for about 1 week, but didnt post any pics.
There are some cons with quality from Poland cause wiper arm isnt OEM quality
I will post pictures tomorrow
