Rear wiper and interior fan faults

Has anyone had any problems with their rear wiper just stop working?? Have checked all fuses and all are ok. Before I take the motor out is there anything else I need to check?? And the interior fan does not work on any speed. Have removed the fan and connected it directly to a battery and it works fine. Have changed the resistor coil pack with a working one from a golf but it still doesn't work. I also put my resistor coil back in the golf and it worked fine. Have searched Google and can not find anything. If anyone has any ideas what to check, that would be great
