Rear washer isnt working. Front wash is. Water is running out of the bodywork in rear offside weelarch. does anyone know which way the tube is routed? or if the tube has a coupling somewhere at the rear?

Try MK4 Ibiza FAQs section, you'll find the answer in there. Mine has come off somewhere under/near the battery and to be honest i gave up trying to fix it, i just do without.

ive fixed it there. you need to take the airbox off and thats it, 10 mins max. Theres a shorter way to route it so it wont come off again (touch wood). If you need any help send a pm my way. i have pics but dont have my camera cable with me at the mo

Where are all the joins? Obviously one in the boot that pops off, fixed that one, one in the engine bay, fixed that one. Is there another?

Edit: Found a few more places to check, inside of the boot being the main one

put 70% concentrate in and it never pops off :) Gotta love the fact you can taste the fluid everytime you spray it.

I'm pretty much running it neat!

Eek.

Your about to laugh at me, as i've some how lost my plastic cover cap for my rear wiper, i was like doh, wonder if it still works, tried to use it and notice nothing came out, so i thought it was the cap... Then looked at my folks Polo and noticed the plastic bit didnt cover it.... Panic time, checked the boot, all dry, confused... tried spraying again, couldnt find the leak.... used a torch under the car, and found illuminous green snow... Then opened bonnet, needless to say everything in my bonnet is now green, was the pipe at the front that came out... Atleast its 100 times easier than the back one to put back on! I'm thinking the fluid must have been nearly empty so had a space of air in the pipe that then let a bit freeze and popped when i used it. was -7 last night.

Er i didn't see the front one, i know the back one was super easy, as it just sits in the space nearest the battery. takes a bit of fiddling to make it click back in though.

guess who else has this problem wondered how i went through a full tank of washer fluid in 2 days oh and its happened to my sisters beeza too, cant be arsed doing it tonight or myself so the dealer can do it for me, why if its such a common problem do seat not find a fix for it, or is the fix upping the concentration of the washer fluid

I though that part of VAG's logic was to protect the pipework if the fluid froze - ie all these points were allowed to be weak points to save the rest of the pipework - bit of a pain though, higher washer fluid concentrations in winter is the answer as is accepting when winter has started!

Well took it in today and they replaced the pipe under warranty, and the women on the service desk said that it happens alot which we all know, then had the cheek to tell me about stuff with antifreeze in that seat/volkswagen do and they recommend that it is used, i said no thanks as i will get my own and so pay silly dealer prices, oh and the sisters is boked in for wed. Looks like it will be a 70/30 mix from now on

Im on about 80% at the moment, and my rear wiper still popped at the front, i think its if there is any air bubbles in the pipe as it freezes and expands there, i guess the only way is to make sure to spray it every now and again to get the fluid flowing through and make sure it never goes near empty.

I think a few people used new ties to keep them on, but the one in the boot is a pain in the arse to get to.
