Has anyone else had the rear washer squirt a small amount sometimes when actuating the front washer? This has happened from new on my LCR (2004 plate). Its not a real problem apart from being very anoying :drive2:

My washer was playing up the wipers would go off for no reason and rear wipe would go when front squirty went of, yesterday they wouldn't stop and got a bit pissed off and accidentally snapped the stalk off:censored: wipers work perfectly now [:@] with the use of my trusty biro but nearly drove into a house so thought i should buy a new one, £8 from Ebay so not the end of the world:)

most systems are single washer pumps now, is yours ?

single pumps spin one way say for front wash then polarity is reversed and pumps backwards for the rear but if the seal splits or wears out it will pressurise both and squirt out of both ends

pump is in the bottom of the tank - test it

washers front - water out one pipe

washers rear - water out other pipe

water out both - seals boogered
