Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on fixing the rear washer on my seat ibiza 04.
I removed the back cover as i assumed the pipe had blown off but when i removed the cover it is still on.
The motor sounds as if it is pumping ok. Is there anywere else to check were the pipe could have come off or whats my next best step?

Cheers
Steve

As above if you do a search for rear wash you should get the info. Other than the connection at the wipe motor the other two fav places are inside the car near the rear seatbelt mount (check this as iam not 100% sure) and below the airbox near the passenger wing.

If the motor is running and its gone beneath the air box you will most likley have water running out a small hole in a chassis box section under the passenger seat. If you cannot find any water under the car at all look inside working from the boot back.

The connection under the airbox is vert tight and hard to get at if you are Tdi.

As a guide mine had popped on both the airbox connector and at the motor the dealer charged £45 to fix.

Best of luck

I am simply not going to use mine when the temp is below zero ( its not worth the ag) as i do mostly short journeys i can clean it with a leather when i stop. And using the correct wash additive helps. :) which i didn't

yeah, I was told by the dealer not to use mine when its freezing. Its just not worth the hastle, mine came off before and soaked the left side wall of the boot. The good thing is its fairly easy to put right when it does happen.
