5 minute job mate - Did mine the other weekend. You need to take out the courtesy light first as I broke mine :(
There are three or few screws and some trim clips and it pops off.

You need to put the pipe back onto the joiner then I wrapped some insulation tape around it to stop it happening again.

Only problem is tried to wash the read window tonight of the way home and it has come off somewhere else now

My courtesy lights were fine - had to do mine a few weeks back too.

remove the two screws from each of the hatch "grab handles" and that's it. After that it just pulls straight off - but you do have to apply a bleddy lot of force, whcih doesn't feel right......but is.

I had this problem a few weeks ago pipe had come off behind the trim on the passenger side what the parcel shelf sits on. there is only 3 screws i think to remove it, 2 in the boot under the panel and one near to where the rear seat latches onto 5 minute job to remove. I put some silicone sealer around the nipple (ooh er!) before pushing it into the socket, let it dry overnight and hey presto no leak. beats waiting for at least a week for the garage to book you in.

First leak was on the left, now it seems it's leaking from in the tailgate. Bl00dy car.

The first joint to go is always the one above the nearside wheelarch, by repairing this with a more 'permanent' solution i.e. glue or tape (or silicon on your nipples!), all that happens is you pass the problem on the next joint - the one in the hatch. So take a little extra time when re-connecting the original leak, and do them both. If the one in the hatch starts to leak, you run the risk of damaging the cars electrics as there is at least one module in close proximity, the 'hatch open' warning light will glow, permanently, until the module is replaced. Luckily mine was under warranty. The problem occurs because the plastic pipe running water through the car fron the washer bottle shrinks more in cold weather than the rubber flexible connectors, just when you need it most. How much would it cost SEAT to do a job capable of withstanding British winters? I doubt if it's a problem on the Costa's !

This has happened to me every winter since I've had the car. Shorted the boot lock out and kept setting the alarm off and boot warning light was permanently on.

Best way to stop this happening I've found is to put in a strong concentration into the water jet reservoir. This stops the fluid freezing over and popping off.

just booked mine it at the new Stealers in Huddersfield and have been told that if the car has already had this fault fixed once, then Seat wont pay to fix it again.

this sounds to me like a fault which should have been fixed by a mass recall. might mention that to Seat UK if they fob me off.

Just got back from the dealers today, fixed in half an hour and extra security clips added to hold it in place, cant fault the service from Livingstones, always been excellent. Was told tho Seat will only honour 1 warranty claim every 12 months for this fix,but hopefully sorted for good.

that is an absolute joke! it's not as if your driving style or mistreatment of the car is causing this to happen. It's due to a design flaw. I would argue until hell froze over if Seat fobbed me off with that one [:@]

The way they get round it I think is that they say you have to use the correct concentration of washer fluid to stop it freezing and expanding hence popping off the joints.

filled my washer with Halfrauds premium screen wash and they fixed it today, and also replaced a header tank which JCT600 said was ok, JCT600 have just lost a customer, the new Richard Alexander dealers were very impressive.:D
