Was just wondering if anyone has looked into fitting a auto dimming rear view mirror to their car? It's the only thing I feel is missing from my car. Are they electrically operated and is it feasable to fit?

Thanks for any help :)

I have though about it, but don`t fancy wiring one in.
There is a wireless alternative: clicky but it`s a bit expensive maybe?
They say the battery lasts for 3 years.

I have heard of this mod being done on a mk4 Ibiza. From what I remember the mirror has an integral sensor and just needs an ignition switched 12volt supply. This should be very easy to access from the interior light.

I wonder how much the mirror is?

according to ETKA - 2 part numbers:

3B0 857 511 C
3B0 857 511 J

(Add 01C for colour: satin black)

Both listed as interior rear view mirror, automatic anti-dazzle, for vehicles with rain sensor.

Can't give a price though.
