Rear view mirror removal.

Can anyone tell me which way you lift or twist the rear view mirror to remove it from the windscreen?

I need it off to give the windscreen a damn good clean.

I think they are stuck to the screen, if you remove it you will probably have to use an adhesive to replace it.

Or don't replace it, it's not required by law as long as you have both your wing mirrors. I don't use my rear view much as I prefer the wing mirrors (the HGV side of me probably).

Nah, I'd leave it and just clean round it.

They have to come off because if you need a new screen I can't see it coming with a new mirror. Normally twist or clip off on every previous car I've had. Just don't want to break it and it's a bitch to clean around

you dont need new adhesive or anything like that as the rearview mirror sits in a base which is stuck to the windscreen , just turn it anticlockwise and it will come off
