rear number plate surround reinstalling question

Hi gang I'm new to group hope all are well

Thought would join this forum as not getting much response from fb groups

I've got a cupra 290 and in process of getting rear black number plate surround painted gloss black

Just wondering for people who have had this done how did they put it back on the car? was it a bumper off job again or just carefully push it back on?

I had mine painted while it was on the car, to save the time and hassle. Clips might break, especially this time of year.

mines already off the car and in painting now so unsure whether to just try popping it back on?
