Has anyone tried to fit the rear mudflaps for the other Mk4 models, onto the 2006 onwards FR model? According to Seat's website they don't fit the Cupra or 2006 on FR.

I bought some cheap from a Seat garage off ebay, supposed to be the front ones, but they sent the rears by mistake . Couldn't be bothered to send them back, so thought I might try fitting them anyway. Assume the reason they might not fit could be the bumper on these models. The holes seem in the right place though.

Hi

I brought some mupflaps from seat when i got my 56plate FR, they could fit the front, but the rear are a different shaped bumper, so the curve didnt match on the mudflap

I want rear mudflaps tho, so if u manage it, let me know where u got urs from!

I'll be taking the rear wheels off at the weekend to give them a good clean, so may as well try fitting the mudflaps at the same time. Already have them on the front.

I find the front ones help keep the side of the car clean. Now summer is coming tar gets flicked up from the front tyres. OK for black cars, not so good for yellow. As I bought them (were supposed to be for the front!), may as well give it a try. Nothing to lose. Might persuade them to fit somehow!

Mudflaps do have the disadvantage that mud etc does collect behind the back. Just have to take them off occasionally to clean them!

Well, as expected, the Seat ones definitely don't fit the rear. To be expected really, but thought I might get them on somehow. Didn't really want to attack them with a Stanley knife.

For all you Cupra and FR 2006-on owners, I'll see what I can come up with elsewhere. Watch this space!
