Rear Left ABS Problem

i have an error come up on the rear left abs sensor have just replaced the sensor and reset using vag com clears ok.

I drive down the road and then it comes back on.

The only thing i can see that may be wrong is the rear abs ring is really lose on the drum is it supposed to fixed solid or lose like it is. the drum also appeared to be full of little metal filings.

Could it this?

Any suggestions would be welcomed as it is due its mot tuesday.

ring has to be solid yes - if it's moving about like that it won't help

i thought as much. so that will be 2 new drums and sensor rings then.

Hopefully not too dear. will any motor factors sell the rings or is it main dealer only

1J0 614 149 - looks like it's pretty standard to disc/drum but never seen em in drums before but appears to be pretty much a Vag standard one

check out whats actually wrong with the old one (split/broke probably) as hopefully you won't need new drums, just a new (or used) ring
