Rear callipers, do u need a special tool???

Hi i got new pads and discs for the back of my ibiza cupra mk3 and tried fitting thim, i got the callipers off no porobs but wasnt able to slide the piston back to make space for the thicker pads and disc as there new. Do u need a special tool to do this?? If so where can i get one and what does it look like??? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

yeah you can buy a tool that will push pistons back in works like a g clamp but the opposite way or if you want leave your old pads and use 2 flat screwdrivers to push the pistons back and then put your new pads in job done:)

Yeh there are a few different tools around look on ebay "for caliper wind back tool". i bought a cube on there that fits on the end of a rench to fit all pistons and with a great deal of arm work and some one holding the caliper managed to get it back in! but there are easyer tools around. :funk:
