Yesterday I fitted new discs and pads on the back.

However the pistons were out a bit too much so handbrake wasn't working flush.

So I took callipers off again and turned the wheel. The one side worked great and went inside properly and is fitted nicely now.

However the other side the piston won't go in. It turns but nothing happens...

help please

Did you use a piston winding tool to push the pistons in, or just brute force and a levering tool?

Also have you undone the lid on the brake fluid reservoir before trying to push the piston in?

If you dont use the proper tool to push the piston in they don't go back straight and can get misaligned / damaged.

Hey thanks for reply but I just managed to get it in.

I was using a alternative tool but didn;t do damage to the piston. In the end I wound it out almost completely and then wound it back in.

Both callipers are sitting flush now and handbrake is on proper hight.

only question is, how do you know when the piston is exactly at the right position?

I understand that the calliper must clear both pads, but thats kind of a broad explenation...
