Anyone got this problem, for example you wash your car and park it up for the nite, next day the rear brakes are slightly stuck, as i pull off they release with a little creak, is it carbon build up on the discs or what. (LCR)

Very common. Just the brakes binding slightly with the rust from them being wet. Same thing happens after it's been raining too.

Nothing at all to worry about. Just apply the brakes gradually and gently when you first start driving to scrub off any surface rust and all will be well :)

Sticking doesn't bother me, it's the damn squeeling in this weather

Just a day off the weekend now though ... so solve this with some grease

Hopefully

there is a technical solution for this from ure dealer it involves fitting new rear caliper release machanisms which are weighted to all it to release properly instead of binding on

Mine has done this from new, rears stick on every morning and make various levels of noise depending on the weather / which way the wind is blowing.

Question is are dealers willing to do the fix under warranty?

I questioned this after having the car for a couple of months saying this was a common problem as I d read similar stories on here. The dealer denied all knowledge of this, mind you it was Listers in Coventry we are talking about!

Is there some head office code or reference I could quote to the dealer so I could get the work done without haggling endlessly?
