Rear Brake Disks in pieces

Can anyone help me (because SEAT are not helping)

I have a January 05 Ibiza Cupra (TDI), bought brand new from Seat.

I have covered 17K (motorway miles) in one year with no problems and have had the car serviced only by the main dealer I bought it from.

Both of the rear discs are heavily scored and to be fair look like someone has been running round with badly worn pads.

The problem is I have not been running around with worn pads, as any inspection will show there is plenty of pad left on the rear.

The front disks look as good as they day I got the car.

I have taken the car in to SEAT and been fobbed off with (we don't fix disks under warranty) I know that I can read!!!!

What I don't accept is that the disks were fit for purpose, as they should at least last longer than two sets of pads. (I haven't even got to change the tyres yet!)

Has anyone else experianced this?
Does anyone have any good advise?
I am planning to speak to What Car legal department about this.

Back from the dead
defo dodgy pads. Seems unlikely its trapped stone as its on both disks.

Rears have always worn badly on VAG cars and the rear calipers are often to blame for uneven wear across the face of the disk.

Is your braking feel like its working OK, or have you noticed anything unusual (for instance under heavy braking)

There is the next problem, SEAT in Birmingham (close to work) were nice enough to tell me that someone must have changed the pads. They didn't say it was me but it didn't need saying for me to take the hint. They even said that they had an identical brand new (un-used) vehicle on a ramp adjacent and that my pads had only 1mm less than the other car.

The only people who have worked on the car are SEAT in Coventry (where I got the car from) and they said they have not fitted new pads. Both garages have seen the car and fobbed me off and the helpline have told me to get lost to. (I feel really popular at the moment).

Even under heavy wear I would expect the discs to far outlast the pads and far outlast the front discs as they have done on all my previous GTI's

The braking does feel ok, although I have not been trying any heaving breaking as most of my mileage is motorway and dual carriage ways.
