Just put my cupra in for an MOT & it's been failed on the drivers side rear barke. It's sticking on & i've been told to buy a new caliper.

Do I really need on or does any one know if there is a service kit available?

depends on the state of the caliper, if you have some mechanical knowledge they are easy to service urself and usually dont need new parts, just a good clean and lubrication.

there are companys who will recondition them as well if you not sure what to do. have done mine once, wasnt to tricky.

yeah agreed, commonly the small metal plates which the pads slide on get corroded up (due to salt and road dirt and water being chucked up by the front wheels into them) this stops them sliding in and out thus sticking on can be reported.

A strip down, clean up and cover the slider with a thin coat of copper grease and all should be ok.

Yeh looking at cupra r calipers as they seem cheaper than cupra as the R are made from aluminium

Do the golf mk4 rear calipers fit our cupra's?

need to get some fitted as i have no rear brakes at all atm...
