Rear axel

HI, i have just been out in the car and whilst going down a slip road at about 50-60mph there was a huge puddle covering the road that i couldnt see! So tried to brake etc but couldnt and i end up hitting the central reservation after spinning round! The brakes slowed me down quite a bit but my back n/s wheel is bent in by about an inch!

I am just wondering what type of axels cupra's have are they stub axels or is it the full beam?

Could anyone also tell me any prices i could get one for and what cars and model have the same rear axel?

You have, going from one side to the other:

Wheel > Disc & Bearings > Stub Axel > Rear Axel Beam > Stub Axel > Disc & Bearings > Wheel

Thanks so what is most likey to bend? the stub axel? Do you know a rough price on them and what cars use these axels? thanks

no, you will need a disc one.

Don't forget new stub axle bolts, they're a one time only bolt.

Mk2 and Mk3 ibiza cupra/gti have different stub axles

Hi ive took all the caliper, disk and bearing off and them im left with the part that i think is the stub axel, Is it a piece of metal that the caliper bolts onto and has like the shaft on that my bearing goes onto and the big nut on the end, Id take pics but my cars at my dads garage,
