Hi all,

Could some one please post a pic of the circular metal bands which hold the bushes to the rear beam, I have eibach arb's and am not sure what way the bands go on.

It would be great if someone had a pic of the front most part of the rear beam so I could see the bands attached.

Thanks,
Neil.:D

Thanks WeeJase.....

I tried to fit my rear arb today, had the bands the same way as yours and when I went to tighten one of them the spot welds broke [:@]

Eibach are posting me an new one but in the mean time I had both brackets spotwelded a few extra times from a sheet metal engineers.

Needless to say I was not in the best mood after that but I did fit my rear koni fsd's while the car was in the air. :)

Thanks,
Neil.

how do they differ?i've never seen a diagram as the 2 i have fitted have both been second hand.can't personally see it fitting any other way(easily)

diagram in post 3. take a look.

other than the fact the clamp is fitted upside down in the photos, note the total lack of rubber strip in the photos.

the clamp is also fitted on an 'edge' rather than on a flat, so the forces put on this clamp are not as designed.

the rubber strips are there in my pics, they are the rusty looking strips between silicone bush and strap.mines different because i found it easier to get it on that way.personally i don't see it being a problem, its just a glorified exhaust clamp afterall.

edit:is that eibachs actual diagram?if so the rubber strip they supply isn't long enough to go where they suggest it barely covers the poly bush as it is ,nevermind the widest part of the rear beam .
