Really REALLY Annoying rattle

Please can someone help?

My dash is making a really loud and fast

click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click

noise at about 70'ish'mph.

Now I can handle a few rattles and knocks etc, but this is a noise that is rhythmic and the speakers can't compete with it when I turn the stereo up to hide it! It is very very annoying......

Boyfriend says he'll have a look at it at the weekend, is it easy to take the dash apart - bearing in mind I have an airbag?

18 mile journey to work and it only starts in the last mile or so? Last 7 miles in on a dual carriageway?

my compartment under the steering coloum rattles, its the latch for the comparment ( the one where your fuses are behing ) but i fixed it, with one mp3 player headunit and voloume incease
