RE: Key fob

Hi,

I reciently bough a Seat Leon S 1.4 (2000 Reg) unfortunately the key fob that has the unlock and lock button on it didn't work. I managed to replace both the batteries in it and now a red light has come on and seems to stay on. I managed to get it to unlock my car but it would not lock it again.

Has anybody got any ideas? Do I need to reprogramme it or something and if so how?

Id appreciate any help for a newbie.

try putting the key in the ignition, starting the car and then press the unlock button a few times, then switch off, take out key and then see if it works.

The red light only lights up when you are pressing the fob, i'd check the connections on the fob first.
