Rattles in my new car

Irish Rover

Guest
New to the Seat Leon and to this forum. In a strange way it is pleasing to read that other owners have rattles and they are not just in my head.

Anyone any ideas about a rattle that seems to be coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Sounds like it is coming from the door itself. Thought it might be the parcel shelf etc. but all tested and still the rattle continues. Could it be the seat belt? Or have others had problems with the door catch itself? Doing my box in now. Even a bit of Motorhead can't drown it out! [:@]

Any help may well get me get off the Prozac!

Cheers

Pull down the rear seats and wrap the seat retaining clips with insulation tape. Then put the seat back in place. As the join is now tighter you may have to give them a real push - but this will almost certainly cure the problem.:)

YES as above i have noticed that lowering and then putting back the seat provides a temporary cure to this

Cheers people. I will give it a go and see what happens. I fear that I may be too far gone to get off the Prozac though!! All joking aside, isn't it sad when you pay your money and the quality just isn't there. Shame as the car is a joy to chuck around the corners!!

Thanks for all the advice. Off to purchase some insualtion tape.
