Well its only coming from the front passenger side and doesnt do it as much when teher is someone sat in front.

Its like a clunking noise, now when i fitted them the bolts that came with it that goes underneath the top mont wouldnt tighten fully as the thread it needed to tighten onto wouldnt let it tighten properly,so my problem is either that are the rattle is coming from elsewhere??

Any ideas, everything else is fine, just this annoying clunk that annoys me even more when the girly in the passenger seat looks at me as if to say 'did you hear that' ?? ha ha

you sure its not hitting on your ARB? Might want to check that.

How low have you gone? Sounds like exactly the problem I had with mine - new ARB's solved it.

What about top mounts - did you put new ones in?

Front arb is £85 + vat.

Kit for front and rear (H&R) is about £250 all in. BBT sell them :)

Top mounts come from your dealer - cost about £20 for 2, but you'll have to remove full suspension to fit them.

no mate, i'm not certain at all.

Best bet is to get the car up on ramps - and have a look. Look for shiny marks on the driveshaft and arb - if its shiny its been knocking/rubbing.

Thinking about it, mine was on drivers-side - which has the shorter driveshaft. If yours is passenger only could be something else.

best bet is to wait for other people's replies - they know more than me!

Grease your springs platforms.

Get someone to turn the wheel with you watching the springs, i bet theyre jumping and sticking.

I've had it, and so have many other mk3 owners.

washer to use is one that has a smaller internal diameter than the spanner used by about 4mm, 2mm each side will fit over bolt threads and butt upto head
