Im looking at raiser my bonnet hinges to allow more heat to escape from the turbo area...as my Engine bay is like a oven with the Bt Setup...

I done this with my old 2.0 corsa but can't remember how todo it..

Anyone now how or even with pics...

i think actually the hinges mount to the sides near the wing mountings... stick washers under these

I would get a pic of mine, but its pissing it down!

Just undo the two bolts and replace with longer ones and use washers to jack up the bonnet, careful tho re-aligening the bonnet.

Yeah you need to separate the hinges i used larger washers both sides to stop it pulling through the hole and i used larger diameter nuts to space them with longers bolts.

it needs to be done in a ratio of front to back eg bolt nearest windscreen took 2x washers and 3 x nuts whilts bolt nearer front end was 2x washers and 2x nuts to give it the lift.

Carefully to re-align the bonnet when tightening as it wont shut and catch the wings, its a two man job really.

Will post pics up when i can mate

25mm ones on my ibiza (max allowed in regs) to help let some airflow/heat out there... however, the base of the windscreen is actually a high pressure area when at speed to whether or not there's any actual airflow coming out of the engine bay at speed from the rear edge or not I'm not sure..
