Radiator knacked

Just wondered if anyone had this problem on their Mk2 Leon?

Car been losing coolant over a coupla weeks - nearly 3 litres all told!

In garage this morning and techie discovered that a 'seam' had gone on the radiator

Not good on an 11 month old & 12k mile car

Radiator on order under warranty and hopefully booked back in at end of week

faults happen ... and that's on anything, i know an Audi that needed a new engine after less than 1000 miles ..

One of the reasons warranty is provided

Ive had to top up the coolant on my petrol FR twice now but only by small amounts, Is this how the problem started?? or was it a big leak straight away??

I started topping it up slowly - just thought it was needing it - but after going through a bottle of coolant I thought something was wrong

Had to call Seat Assistance who saw me home ok - advised me to keep topping up with water/coolant and get it to the dealer asap. The AA guy couldn't find anything but noticed the coolant level drop after a 10 mile drive - he mentioned the fan switch might be the prob

I'd get it checked Mode if you're concerned

You're right Tam, I shouldn't moan really - this is the 1st Leon out of 4 previous that I've had a problem with

I think your right Alnsaz iam gonna have to get it checked, its gone down again i had a look today, its due a service in the next month or so i will let you know what if anything they discover.....
