Due to a change of plan I have a RaceChip RS tuning box surplus to requirements as I was contemplating changing to a 310 bhp VZ2 but the tax is going to be £580 pa and my RX-8 is going up to £735 pa and I cannot justify £110 per month for road tax so due to a RaceChip discount offer I have upgraded to their GTS tuning box and am going to keep my Formentor.
The RaceChip RS box quotes +46 HP and +50 NM increase and I have no reason to doubt that as it made a noticeable difference on my Formentor but I decided the GTS tuniing box with +56 HP and 60 NM for the difference in cost to change was worth it and I am really well impressed with the difference it has made but suffice to say the Formentor is now much quicker.
So the RaceChip RS box which has only been on for about 3K miles is normally £269 and it comes with an all new wiring harness and fittings as I just swopped the new box with the existing set up as it is the same, so it is up for sale at a big saving for £165 plus p&p.
